Door wouldn't close at 7pm on a Wednesday. Called and they had someone here by 8:30. Sensor was out of alignment. Quick fix and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for after-hours service. Really appreciate the fast response.

Real-World Situations
Common Scenarios
Emergency calls happen any time. These are the situations our technicians respond to most often, day and night.
Door Stuck Open After Dark
A door that won't close at night is a genuine security emergency. Your home's interior is exposed, your vehicles and belongings are accessible, and waiting until morning isn't an option. Whether the cause is a broken spring, a failed opener, or a track that's come apart, we dispatch immediately for this situation. Technicians carry the components needed to fix the most common causes on the first visit.
Car Trapped Inside Before Work
A broken torsion spring or snapped lift cable leaves your car inside with no safe exit. The opener disconnects automatically, and trying to force the door open manually without first relieving spring tension can cause the door to drop suddenly. This is one of the most time-sensitive calls we handle — we give it priority dispatch because the window for getting to work is real.
Storm Damage to Door or Opener
Ohio's spring and summer severe weather season can knock a door off its track, damage the opener's circuit board, or leave the door stuck partway open after a power surge or direct impact. If the opening can't be secured, it becomes an emergency regardless of the cause. We assess the full system on arrival, secure the opening if the door can't be fully repaired that visit, and return with any needed parts the next business day.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How much extra does emergency service cost?
After-hours emergency calls (outside regular hours) include an additional dispatch fee on top of the repair cost. Regular hours are Sun–Thu 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and Fri 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. During those hours, there's no dispatch fee even for urgent same-day calls. We're upfront about all costs before we start.
What counts as an emergency?
If your door is stuck open and your home is unsecured, that's an emergency. If your car is trapped in the garage and you can't get to work, that's an emergency. If your door is just making a funny noise but still works, that can probably wait until regular hours and save you the dispatch fee.
How fast can you get here?
Our average response time is about 90 minutes across our service area. In Columbus and Cleveland metro areas, it's often faster (60-75 minutes). We'll give you a realistic ETA when you call — we don't promise 30 minutes and show up in 2 hours.
What if you can't fix it that night?
If the repair requires a part we don't have on the truck, we'll secure your door so it can close and lock properly. We'll come back with the part the next business day, and you won't pay the dispatch fee again. Your security always comes first. Most emergency calls involve a broken spring or snapped cable — both of which we stock on our trucks. See our spring repair and cable repair pages for what to expect.
